On 2nd December 2008, The Halfpenny Brewery opened to the rear of the Crown.  The brewery name was inspired by Lechlade's landmark stone bridge that spans the River Thames.

 

Pub regulars were involved in naming the brewery and the ales through a competition that attracted over 700 entries.

 

Our brewery building, at the back of The Crown, is enhanced by having one wall fully glazed so that customers can view the brewing process and equipment.

 

Our regularly brewed beers are: Old Lech, Ha'Penny Ale, Four Seasons, Anniversary Ale and Thames Tickler.  Other beers are brewed as specials throughout the year.
