Welcome to The Crown Public House, Lechlade-on-Thames, Gloucestershire

The Crown Inn is a family-run freehouse, a busy pub which is a favourite with both locals and tourists. It has an attractive beer garden, regular entertainment and a pool room and is ideally placed in the center of Lechlade, an pretty market town on the River Thames and on the edge of the Cotswolds.

Families are welcome, and the secluded beer garden is very popular with the children in the summer months. We serve home-made bar snacks throughout the day.

The Crown Inn public house is an old coaching inn, one of the many in Lechlade, popular with travellers when Lechlade was on a main coach route to London. The earliest record of the Inn was in 1696, when the Cole family owned it. The Watkins' took over The Crown Inn in 1998 and have extended the property to include charming accommodation overlooking the beer garden.

Browse the many antique shops, we have an antiques market on the first Sunday of each month. Experience a typical Cotswolds cream tea.
